Description:
Got bored one night and promised to show my mate where these bunkers where.
Going north along old south head rd you come across 2 light houses on the cliff side.
The bunker is next to the second lighthouse. Here you will discover the 1st level of
the bunker above ground with the 2 gun emplacements which look out to sea. There
is numerous entrances but all have been tack welded shut.

Signal Hill bunker 2.

Getting into the Bunker.

The best bet now would be an assault on the seaward door at night time as no one goes
into the park where the bunkers are at night time coz its black as hell. Once inside u will
find the major part of the building encircling the gun emplacement above. Kinda roundish
with tiny rooms off the side to store ammo for the guns.

Inside the Bunker 1. Magazine room. (Not the reading type)

There is also the remains of a kitchen or rec room.

Kitchen or rec room.

In one of the little rooms off to the side you will find a ladder going down to the level below.

Ladder to level below.

You will also notice an adjacent hole filled with debris. This was formely an elevator (small hey?).
Once you go down the ladder you will find a maze of rooms and passage ways.

Level below. Passage ways with debris.

Go explore. You will come across original table and chairs.

Room with table and chair. Passage way.

You will also come across the main entrace which leads straight to the street but it will be dynamited.
I believe that the stand alone staircase next to the lighthouse was one of these entrances. After we got
in the NPWS or council re-welded the door shut within a week. Talk about paranoid! Leave by the way
you came and make some effort to try and close the door behind you. The NPWS will probably be
restoring this bunker to its former glory and taking tours through. How boring, nicely painted walls and
waxed floors. I think NPWS should spend money on its Parks and leave the bunkers to us.
